Central Wake Park

Central Wake Park sits on Mrożyczka Reservoir in Głowno, at Wygody 4, postcode 95-015. It is about thirty minutes from central Łódź and about an hour from Warsaw on the A1. Głowno lies in the valley of the Mroga, Mrożyca and Brzuśnia, between two reservoirs on the Mroga: Mrożyczka and Huta Józefów. You leave the north–south motorway and you are at the water.

There are two Sesitec cables. The main one has six pylons and an eight-hundred-metre loop. It runs counter-clockwise, regular foot forward. The operator stresses shallow corner angles so the rope stays tight and the turn does not yank you off the edge. Eighteen UNIT Parktech features sit on both sides of the course, for different levels and both stances. You share this cable; you do not book a private hour in advance.

A separate 2.0 cable runs back and forth for one rider at a time, on a reserved slot. The instructor stays on BB Talking, a microphone-headset link. That slot includes a board, bindings, helmet, vest and first starts. You move to the big loop when the instructor says so. Private coaching is offered on both cables; weekend group clinics are announced when a date is set.

The site is built for a full day: sunbeds, hot tubs and Wake Bites — burgers, salads, snacks, coffee, ice cream. The park also lists a playground, a ropes course, a pumptrack, an outdoor gym, a skatepark and a skimboard run. SUP boards are for rent. Lodging is eight four-person cottages by the park — bed, sofa, shower bathroom, kitchenette with fridge and microwave — plus tent and camper pitches with power and toilets. In summer Central Wake Camp runs week-long camps and day camps, with morning and afternoon riding, surfskate, slackline and a campfire, in those same cottages. The menu also has company days, stag and hen parties, birthdays and vouchers.
