Wake Zone Stawiki

Wake Zone Stawiki sits at Sobieskiego 49, postcode 41-209, in Sosnowiec, a short drive from the other cities of the Upper Silesian conurbation. It was started by riders and members of the Polish national team.

There are two cables. The larger one is a five-pylon Rixen 5.0, with features on the course. The 2.0 line is for sessions and coaching: you book a fifteen- or thirty-minute set, or an exclusive hour. A pass covers a helmet, a vest and an instructor, who gives a dry briefing on the dock and then corrects the first starts. A board, water skis, a kneeboard and a wetsuit are hired at reception. A first visit uses the beginner package, which already includes the pass, gear, coaching and a wristband. Reception then issues an RFID band, scanned before each start. Beginners get hours when the cable runs more slowly. Riders need to be able to swim and be in generally good health; valuables go in a lockable locker on site.

Beside the cables, Aquator is a water obstacle course used under lifeguard watch. The rest of the complex is on land: a restaurant, a beach bar and a beach, plus a sauna and a hot tub. In summer the park runs Wake Camp day camps in two age groups, seven to ten and ten to eighteen, and separate Aktywna Ekipa weeks. Acrobatic gymnastics for children also appears on the calendar, and there is a sports club on the grounds.
